Gave this 5 stars because it is a well-written, well-constructed look at Lincoln and those in his life. This is a soft-cover coffee table book, not an in-depth treatise. It abounds with illustrations and trivia of the time period. Very enjoyable and better in book form (in spite of the price) than Kindle! Being a resident of President Lincoln's hometown many of these signs are familiar to me. Some I never realized were there. Some are not there at all. Still this was a very good overview of Springfield in Lincoln's day.
